On sunny weekends in Rio de Janeiro, families gather behind Santos Dumont airport to watch the planes take off. Interested in this rite, I made a few visits to the place and learned a little more about its history. By understanding the space as an interpreter of its past, I decided that this should be a movie about a place that invites you to leave. A place that, however much it allows you to enter, makes it impossible for you to stay.
My intuition made me find the resistance: this is the story of Karina, who has owned a kiosk for over 20 years and was expelled from her business for reasons that have never been clarified.
Through the otherness of an encounter, I propose to give voice to Karina after an initial introduction to the space. Fifteen minutes and one story later, the space is re-presented to us; we no longer see it the same way.
